From April 2025, all citizens of the European Union entering the territory of Great Britain must have an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA). It is expected that the permit will cost £10. It allows multiple visits to the UK within two years or until the traveler's passport expires. The application process will involve providing passport details, contact information and completing a questionnaire aimed at strengthening border security.
For an ETA permit, EU citizens can apply via the UK ETA mobile app, available on both Google Play and the Apple App Store, or via the UK government website if they do not have access to a smartphone.
